by RF Schatten I'm still a Catholic, and as a good Catholic Boy...like most of them...I'm still against the Vatican's rules...most of them...but, I do believe in Evolution, among other things. Rick Santorum doesn't have to believe in Evolution, that's his God given right...but, don't try to pass his Religious believes on everyone...specially his radical ideas about the Roman Catholic Church. The entire "idea" for the creation of this Nation, is "Freedom"...not just Freedom Of Speech, but Freedom of Religion, too...the ability to practice whatever Religion you fucking want...without Government interference...that's why we have a Constitution, and a Declaration of Independence. That means, "We, the People" are Independent to choose whatever we want to believe in. Policy positions based on the Bible, or on his own interpretations of Roman Catholic Theology, just proves the incompetence this fellow has, if he wants...

By RF Schatten Not too long ago, I was going into a supermarket...when suddenly, walking through the parking lot, I noticed a bumper sticker that read: “He Belongs To Us...Keep God In America” I'm looking at this, and I couldn't stop thinking, how we have gotten, as a Nation, to this point in American History? Who are we, to claim “God” for ourselves?...as he were a product, a commodity. It has become a sorry state, in which we invoke the name of God, for any reason whatsoever, and specially by Politicos who try to use it, for their greedy self-gains...it's just wrong and shameful, period! Never in my life, have I seen the use of “God” so much as part of our Political Discourse. Politicians throw the word “God” for anything, specially the Fear of God to grab the minds of the citizenry. If you are sick, and do not have the financial means to see a Doctor...why do you believe, that you have the same right to see someone, that can take care of your problem...the same way, than those, who “can” afford the best care possible? What gives you that right? If it takes you, more than 5 seconds, to come up with the correct answer...then, you too!! may be one of those people, in this country...who really don't care, about your fellow Human Being. Sadly, there is quite a few out there. America, is the greatest country on this earth, as we are to believe...so why do we have, as of 2008-2009 Census... 46.3 million people uninsured? That total, has obviously risen, though, some scattered early benefits of the Healthcare Reform Bill...has alleviated the situation a bit.
