George Carlin; gone...but his Words will stay forever

To some people, George Carlin was just a comedian...to almost an entire generation...he was much more, he was an Observer of Life...a Commentator, a Storyteller about Society, our Culture, our Religious Believes, and our Education...particularly the use of words, in the English Language.

When speaking in meetings or conferences about Religion, Politics, and Society...there's one person all Academics bring up either because of his theories, observations, and/or quotes...

Carlin was Roman Catholic...and a big critic of the Church...but, I bet he and Pope Francis, would have gotten along, marvelously!!

Being a proud Liberal

 Be proud of what Liberalism stands for!! We have survived a Great Depression and numerous recessions...because, of 'who' we are!! Who led us into the greatest depression in US History? and who's led us in the highest unemployment rates? Conservatives!!. Who have publicly acknowledged by their words and/or actions, they don't care about the Poor, about the Sick, about the Hungry, about the Elderly, or about the Youth? Conservatives, that's who!! Snyder is Poisoning Flint...and GOP Blames Obama!

By RF Schatten Wasn't the "Big Government Takeover" of Benton Harbor enough of a clue about Rick Snyder's mind and personal character? The Flint problem didn't start during this Election cycle and doesn't need to be an election issue...if things were handled right from the beginning! What Republicans in their right mind would want to have such a scandal during National Elections? Oops! sorry, we 'are' speaking about today's Grand Old Party! In the case of one, Richard Dale Snyder...a paid in full, Koch sponsored stooge and crook portraying the role of Governor William J Lepetomane, along with his very own Hedley Lamar, portrayed by Joseph Harris, aka "The Czar of Benton Harbor" tried to takeover the town, get rid of the heavily low income population, build Golf Courses, and a giant shoreline development for the wealthy....and still come out with a nice handsome commission for all his efforts in the deal.
